Working with Slovox - Q&A

Where have Watermelons been used?
Originally built for our artistic practice, the first instruments (Svarog24, Perun24, The Rebel) were used in several shows and workshops. Since 2025 we've been hosting residencies and artist visits. The instruments are now available to early adopters. Get in touch to discuss early access.
Can I have my work adapted to Watermelons?
We're always interested in extending our library of works adapted to compact arrays. For hands-on experience, please book a studio visit. We also provide remote adaptations free of charge, depending on our workload, provided you share with us HOA work or stems. Please get in touch to discuss collaboration.
Can I have an instrument demo?
We offer studio visits and residencies. That's the best way to meet us, learn about the technology and test it in practice. Short evaluation visits have a minimal fee for our time, which is credited towards your future purchase. Alternatively, you can book a workshop with us.
Do you host residencies?
In 2025 we celebrated the launch of our instruments with sponsored GoSpatial 2025 residencies, which brought a series of visits. We remain open to hosting artists and researchers, offering 1-day, weekend-long or week-long working visits to work with our equipment hands-on. We provide support for you to obtain external funding.
Do you do workshops?
Yes, absolutely. We share our knowledge extensively, ranging from space-first approach to immersive sound, through ambisonics, beamforming and live workflows to frontier subjects, such as generative approach, creative sound coding, modular looping and human-computer improvisation. Book a workshop.
